Out of your hourly tow truck driving gig, when you’re called out on a beautiful day for a very straightforward disabled
vehicle in a parking space, in a flat lot with lots of space all around.
Step 1. Pull in at an angle instead of directly across from the car
Step 2. Don’t pull forward enough so that the car can make the turn
Step 3. Take extra care because the owner and (friend, partner, husband?) are standing right there
Maybe I’m giving him too much credit. But r
aise your hand if you’ve ever had a job where you milked a particular task because you knew it was more pleasant than whatever you had coming next.

This is truly baffling. The only thing I can imagine is that when they started, there was another car parked directly behind the Ford, so the flatbed couldn’t line it up.
The last tow we had (maybe the only one ever...) was just a flat rate of about $80 and he did a great job slowly extricating the car from a high-centered position off the edge of the roadway:

there is absolutly no reason to be dragging on at an angle. Milking the time for sure.

There wasn’t a car there, because the only exit to the parking lot is to the left in that pic. If it was there, the truck would have had to move to let it out, in which case... move it closer after they left? So, nope.
Just read that about the minivan. That was lucky, indeed.

The only way to one-up this is to sit in the cab, pull out your laptop, and post about it on Oppo.
Wait... do you drive for a towing company?
